Double Exposure
"Grind Zone"
I named this grind zone because that is my mentality at school. Whether it is with baseball or school, I am always working my butt off. The face I made in this photo gives it that connotation; don't get in the way of my success. In this project, I found it difficult at first to blend myself into the background. You can see this with the progression from the double exposure at the bottom of the page to the one at the top. The top image I was able to blend into the background much better.
Compare and Contrast:
I liked the selfie project better personally. In that project, I could really show all aspects of my life rather than in this, only a small part. This one, I think looks better but the selfie project was more me.

"Picturing My Life"
These pictures represent a few things that are important to me. The layer with the lighthouse represents my family. My family goes to Grand Island, the place where the photo was taken, each year. My family is like a guide to me in life, like a lighthouse. When I get off the right path, they are there to help me get back on the right path. The photo with other people in it are some of my church friends. These are the friends that I am most close with. The shoes are a pair of the many that I own. I have always liked shoes and really just like the look of nice new shoes. The Christmas tree is at the Toledo Zoo. My family and I used to always go there for the lights when I was a young boy. It is one of the many very fond memories from my childhood. The Mackinac Bridge reminds me of my roots. I have lived in Michigan for my entire life and I love it here. This is just a glimpse of me Picturing My Life.
